Schools out for summer!  Or winter depending on where you are.  At any rate the SHIFT Minneapolis Discipleship School has finished!

The school was great. During the last week of school we met with the 6 students and heard from them what God has done in their lives during the school and what their plans were for after the school.  We were amazed at the change that had taken place in these students in the last 3 months. We wondered how and when this had happened! It has been such a crazy and busy three months. We realized it wasn’t us that brought the changes in their lives, it was God.  Our prayer during this whole time has been that God would give them a strong foundation to stand on, one that would carry them through their lives. From what they told us this has happened! God has taken these 6 students and changed their lives. It has been a privilege and an honor to be a part of what God was doing in the school.

This has been a growing and challenging time for us. We really had to rely on God during the school. We wanted to work with Him in what He was doing in the students’ lives, and not just things we thought were important. This was not always easy. But we had a sense of God leading us and leading in the school. We saw this in the speakers from week to week. We really prayed about who should speak and what topics should be covered. Each speaker really seemed to really flow from one week to another and to really build on one another. We were amazed and so blessed by this.

Another encouraging thing was how the Church helped out with the school. So many people gave of their resources and time to help out. Cooks, teachers, drivers, worship and prayer leaders, places for the students to live. Not to mention all the people who prayed for the school and help out financially. We felt so supported through the whole thing.

Prayer Requests
We are now back in New Zealand for the next 3 months. Our plan is to work on getting Nigel residency in the USA, a process that takes about 3 months, and to pray and seek God for what He has for us next. We will still be working on Steiger stuff while we are here, but there is no school here this year. Also Nigel will be cutting hair and Rachel hopefully working in a coffee shop! Please pray for God’s direction for us during this time.
