Hello Friends and Family!
There’s an old idiom that goes something like this: “Time flies when you’re having fun.” Well, we have a little idiom between the two of us that goes a little something like this ”Time disappears when you’re incredibly busy!” In all honesty, we have been quite busy during this past month. Luckily, the busyness has been sprinkled pretty liberally with moments of fun, as well! Here’s a little update into our life here in Minneapolis.

SHIFT
October has followed pretty quickly on the heels of September, bringing with it some great moments of teaching and growth at the SHIFT School . This month we were blessed to once again have the Hunters come from Namibia, Africa to teach about God being the one who forms us and makes us more and more into His image, using clay and pottery as a medium. We were also able to hear international communicator and minister Sy Rogers speak on Sexuality and the Church. The students were very encouraged by what he had to say on a topic that is rarely discussed in length in church.

Well, who better to share what the Lord has been doing in the school than the students! This month Francisco Jauregui and Dan Dorff:

“Since I’ve known God and had a real relationship with Him, my life has had many changes. During the past two and a half months I’ve personally seen my life grow in many ways, including spiritually and emotionally. I am so happy to be part of the discipleship school and having the opportunity to meet so many great and Godly people!”

“I have really enjoyed SHIFT so far. The course on Boundaries was really good and I've really enjoyed the different prayer and worship activities. The theology class has been a lot of fun with learning different people's thoughts on theological issues. I've also found the 'How To Read The Bible' class to be positive. In church on Tuesday nights we've talked about pride and it's been good to look at those areas in my life where I'm prideful. It's also been positive to identify certain feelings that I can't stand and to see how I run away or avoid situations where those feelings might result.”

Financial Support
Leading the SHIFT School is a full-time ministry. We are praying that the Lord would continue to surround us with people committed to supporting this ministry with encouragement, prayers, and finances (our financial needs are posted above). We are currently only receiving 50% of what we need. Please ask the Lord how you can be a part of our ministry here in Minneapolis!

Thanks again for all of your prayers and support. This year’s SHIFT school has been such a testimony of God’s love for His children. You are such an important part of the work the Lord is doing with us here in Minneapolis and the world!

Prayer Requests:

  • Please pray for each of the students, that they would finish well as the SHIFT School finishes it’s last month.
  • Pray for God’s wisdom and discernment as we lead the SHIFT School. We want to be good stewards of this responsibility He has given us.
  • Continue to pray for our church, The Salvage Yard. Please pray that the Lord would give Noah and the rest of the elders wisdom as they lead the church.
  • Pray for our monthly budget as full-time missionaries of $2000 to be met. This is needed in order for us to commit the time needed to lead the SHIFT and NightSHIFT Schools.
  • Ask the Lord if you should commit to supporting us financially during the SHIFT School.
