Hello Friends and Family!

Fall is here! The leaves are changing, the vegetables in our garden are being harvested, sweaters are being donned, and all our radiators are kicking into gear. What a beautiful time of year! This season always seems to bring people in our community closer together as fun activities and favorite past-times begin again. Bring out the mugs full of hot apple cider!

SHIFT
Where did September go? We are now going into the second month of SHIFT where we will talk about what it means to have intimacy with Christ, how having boundaries effects our lives, what is means to be in community and the body of Christ, and how to have healthy relationships.

Now that the school is moving into it’s second month, we enjoy giving the students the opportunity to share with you what God is doing in their lives. This month Corry Hammett says:

Brother Lawrence says, ‘One does not become holy overnight.’ This is the crux of what the Lord has been teaching me during these first couple weeks. It’s a challenge since one of the things I’ve learned is that I am impatient and like to see immediate growth. But, I know that God will continue working through these revelations to bring me even closer into a relationship with Him!

How Are We?
We are so excited about the many things the Lord is doing here in Minneapolis. Saying that, we know that we need to learn to practice the “discipline” of rest in the midst of busyness. This is not one of our strengths! Setting aside a Sabbath each week is more important to us than ever before.

Financial Support
Leading the SHIFT School is a full-time ministry. We are praying that the Lord would continue to surround us with people committed to supporting this ministry with encouragement, prayers, and finances (our financial needs are posted above). We are currently only receiving 60% of what we need. Please ask the Lord how you can be a part of our ministry here in Minneapolis!

Prayer Requests:

• Please pray for each of the students, that they would receive all that God has for them while they are at the SHIFT School.
• Pray for God’s wisdom and discernment as we lead the SHIFT School. We want to be good stewards of this responsibility He has given us.
• Continue to pray for our church, The Salvage Yard. Please pray that the Lord would give Noah and the rest of the elders wisdom as they lead the church.
• Pray for our monthly budget as full-time missionaries of $2000 to be met. This is needed in order for us to commit the time needed to lead the SHIFT and NightSHIFT Schools. Ask the Lord if you should commit to supporting us financially during the SHIFT School.
