This is taken from a letter written by a student who attended the school here in New Zealand last year.  She sent it to us this year as a welcome to the new students.  We were very encouraged by it and thought we would share it with you.

“Just a year ago I was in the same place as you are now, sharing your hopes, fears, struggles, and excitement, feeling overwhelmed by all those new faces, names, impressions, wondering what Jesus was going to do, to change, to show me.

“First of all I want to tell you that 3 months of deep, heart-changing experiences are waiting for you, and I can tell you that everything happening to you will turn out to be the best.  It’s so up to you what is going to happen, it’s your choice every day whether you will take in all the presents Jesus has for you or not.  And I want to tell you, that no one of you is at this place for , no one made a mistake choosing you to be invited, for Jesus Himself is at that school in such a great way that you’ll stand in awe before Him in the end.  Perhaps you still think that you might be better at home, caring for the ministries given to you.  Perhaps you are still thinking that you are not mature enough for that leadership training.  Perhaps you are still thinking, that you are just dreaming being in New Zealand, being in such a beautiful place.  But I can tell you- those are lies trying to steal from you the most precious time you can have, time, just to relax in the love of God, time to receive His love and mercy and grace, finding new revelations of His love especially for you.

“The Nature in New Zealand is a present to you.  The s and guys you are meeting are a wonderful present to you the leadership of this school couldn’t be more surrendered to their task of loving you.  (They are truly loving, all of them.)  And every single word out of the teachings you are taking is a gift forever.

“I just can tell you- it’s true, that He has heard your call for freedom.  It’s true that He has heard your call for peace.  It’s true that He has heard your call for new goals, new directions, it’s true that he has heard your heart crying for a break.  And I can tell you, He’ll answer lots of it while you are in Waikanae.

“Trust your leadership.  Don’t be unteachable, take your chance, go for it!  And you’ll never forget a single moment for those three months.  They’ll change your life if you want to.

“He definitely did it for me, He will do it for you as well.”

We are in the midst of the Leadership and Evangelism training school.  Nigel is taking the students through Theophostic Prayer training.  Rachel is planning meals and grocery shopping for the 30 plus students.  And both of us are leading a small group as well as meeting one-on-one with some of the students each week.  There is a group of amazing students from all over the world here in Waikanae and we feel so privileged to be a part of what God is doing in their lives.
