"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20
What does it mean to be a disciple of Christ? When Jesus called His disciples to follow Him, He was asking them to not only go where He went, but to live how He lived. To be His disciple was to change. That applies to us today when we choose to follow Him.

As a church we exist as a community of believers that rescues and
restores broken people and releases them into life-long ministry. In
the process of restoration, much like how a potter works with a piece
of clay, we are positioning ourselves in God's presence and asking Him
to shape and mold us into what He desires. This is an act of submission
where we are giving God complete control of our life.
So how does this look at The Salvage Yard? As disciples of Christ, e
need to have our eyes, minds, and hearts fixed on Him. On Tuesday
nights we take time out of our busy week to come together with other
believers to worship the Lord, meditate on His words, pray together,
and fellowship together. For those who are able to commit a larger
space of time for discipleship, we offer many different classes (SHIFT
and NightSHIFT) where people can learn who they are in Christ, how that
is lived out in the body of believers, and how to share that in the
larger community.
We believe that it is important to allow others to speak truth into
our lives. For this to happen we encourage accountability to take place
in our relationships. This can and does take place in the midst of
different types of community. We also provide mentorship relationships
and mentoring training.
