“Our mission is to make disciples and develop indigenous leaders as God takes us around the world.”

Dear Friends and Family,

Goodbye Winter. Hello Spring (almost)! After 4 months of gray skies and zero to 40 below temperatures we have finally begun to see the light at the end of the tunnel … literally. The sun has begun to shine, the snow is melting, and we just had our first week of temperatures above zero! Already many of us are beginning to talk about gardening, biking, and other outdoor activities. We hope this letter finds you enjoying warmer and brighter weather, as well!

Night SHIFT
As this last month of Night SHIFT comes to an end we are beginning to plan for semester number two! Yes, this past semester has been an absolute blessing. It has been so encouraging to hear the positive feedback from the students concerning the creation of this discipleship tool. We are excited to see what the Lord will do in this next semester. Starting in May we will be offering two new classes: Planning: God’s Way and Reconciliation: An Introduction to Christ’s Call For Healing and Unity In A World Broken and Divided By Racism, Sexism, and Classism.

Community House
In our last newsletter we talked about our newest housemate, Patrick. He has truly been a blessing to the community as a whole! One of the additions he has brought has been his gift of worship with his guitar. As you may remember, in our last newsletter we mentioned that with the moving on of another housemate (no, she didn’t die) we would be looking for one more housemate. Well, thank you for all of your prayers because the Lord has sent us Joe! He will be moving in towards the end of this month.

Salvage Yard
Since our church first started back in the early nineties we’ve been pretty mobile, not necessarily calling a building our permanent home. At the beginning of the year our church received a notice that we would soon be asked to leave the space we were currently in due to the fact that the building had been sold. During the past three months we have been praying and looking for a new space to move into. Praise the Lord, at the beginning of March we moved into Oliver Ministry Center in South Minneapolis. For us it is exciting to move from our old space downtown to our new space in the neighborhood where many of us live. We believe this will provide many more opportunities to minister to the community of people we live around.

Closing
This has been a month of changes, transitions, and additions. As the weather moves from unbearable to almost bearable we are excited for what the Lord has around the corner in our lives. We are frequently reminded that a life following God without prayer is an empty one. We need to continually lean in to hear His voice as He guides us in the ways He is going.

Thank you for all of your prayers and support in the ministry the Lord has called us to!

In Him,
Noah & Wendy Schneider
