Mission statement:
At the Salvage Yard Church of Jesus Christ, we see children as very important members of the body of Christ. The time spent with the children during church is not merely a babysitting hour, but a time to impart truth to our smaller brothers and sisters in Christ in a way that is meaningful to them. As a church, we understand the Biblical stance that a parent(s)' role in the spiritual training of their child(ren) is primary, whereas the church's role in their lives is secondary. Our teaching, however, does not have a right to be passive because of this, rather, we desire to reinforce what their parents are already teaching them. We do hope the children have fun playing games, coloring, and singing songs, but more than that we pray that they grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The curriculum we are using is called DiscipleLand. For more information check them out on the web. The ages of children that attend The Salvage Yard range from 2 years old to 10 years old. We will have a nursery set up soon to tend to infants but right now we have willing arms to hold them.
