  Dear friends and family,

Hello from drizzly Minneapolis!

SHIFT

God has been moving powerfully this month in the discipleship school! We ended September with the Hunters from Namibia, Africa coming to speak on how God works on our character. They used the making of pottery as an analogy to show God’s loving hands working in our life. For the past two weeks we’ve been focusing on living in community and what it means to be a part of the body of Christ. The Duckworth family came from New Zealand to share about their experiences living purposefully in community, beginning as a young married couple to now having a family of five. It was such a blessing for all of us to see a family live out this calling with integrity and success. During these next two weeks we will be going through the Boundaries series. This is a teaching series put together by Henry Cloud and John Townsend. They teach that having clear boundaries is essential to a healthy, balanced lifestyle. This was such a great tool in last year’s school, and we are excited to see how God will use it this year! We will end the month by having leaders in our community come to teach on having godly interpersonal and romantic relationships.

Breaksea Caravel

For the past four years I (Noah) have been a part of the Eastern European influenced band, Breaksea Caravel. The band is now made up of seven people playing such instruments as accordion, organ, violin, erhu, baglama, clarinet & melodica (me), guitar, ukulele, bass, drums, percussion, and vocals. We’ve played in various venues around the mid-west and internationally (Germany, Poland, Croatia, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Iceland, New Zealand, and Brazil). Recently we have all renewed our commitment to the band and have been asking the Lord what to do next. We believe the Lord is calling us to be more purposeful with our message of the hope and healing found in following Him and are currently planning a tour in Iceland for early next year. Please be praying with us as we seek the Lord’s direction.

How are WE doing?

As the school continues to move forward, we are constantly asking the Lord to show us how to be better stewards of our time and how to have integrity with our commitments. We absolutely love what the Lord has called us to do here in Minneapolis at this moment, but we are also aware that He has put a bigger picture of discipleship on our hearts for here in our community and the rest of the world. It has been such a blessing to see how the Lord has put us in places and in relationships that continue to shape us into the servants for His kingdom that He desires us to be!

We are continually blessed by your commitment to us. Thank-you for your prayers and support!

In Him,

Noah & Wendy Schneider
